Η θεατρική ομάδα Blitz σχηματίστηκε τον Οκτώβριο του 2004 στην
Αθήνα. Ουσιαστικά, αποτελεί μια θεατρική κολεκτίβα με βασικά της μέλη τους
Γιώργο Βαλαή, Αγγελική Παπούλια & Χρήστο Πασσάλη (με τους δύο τελευταίους
να συμπρωταγωνιστούν στον Κυνόδοντα του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου), ενώ διαφορετικοί
συνεργάτες προστίθενται σε κάθε δουλειά τους. Για την ομάδα Blitz το θέατρο είναι ένας χώρος
αλληλεπίδρασης μεταξύ ανθρώπων και ιδεών, εξ’ου και η ισότιμη σχέση μεταξύ των
μελών της στη σύλληψη, συγγραφή, σκηνοθεσία, και δραματουργία των παραστάσεων
τους. Mε βασικό τους στόχο τον καθορισμό της
σχέσης μεταξύ κοινωνίας και τέχνης σήμερα, τα μέλη της ομάδας Blitz ταυτίζονται με το πολιτικό σχόλιο και
προσπαθούν να δώσουν μορφή στις καθημερινές σκέψεις και συναισθήματα.
Η ομάδα Blitz έχοντας
πίσω της σχεδόν μια δεκαετία δημιουργίας έχει αποκτήσει ευρωπαϊκή φήμη με την παράσταση
«Γαλαξίας» να παίζεται απο Γερμανούς ηθοποιούς στο θέατρο Schaubühne του Βερολίνου και την παράσταση «Guns!Guns!Guns!» στο Théâtre de la Ville στο Παρίσι.
Μετά απο μια περιοδεία στην Γαλλία, η
παράσταση «Late Night» έρχεται στην Ουτρέχτη στις 19 και 20 Μαΐου στα πλαίσια
του SPRING Performing Arts Festival. Το έργο εκτυλίσσεται μέσα σε μια αίθουσα χορού, οπου τρία ζευγάρια (Γιώργος Βαλαής, Σοφία Κόκκαλη, Αγγελική
Παπούλια, Χρήστος Πασσαλής, Φιντέλ Ταλαμπούκας, Μαρία Φιλίνη)
ανασύρουν απο τη μνήμη τους γεγονότα και μιλούν για αδιέξοδους έρωτες,
καταστροφικούς πολέμους, απογοητεύσεις και αντιστάσεις. Οι αφηγήσεις
περιγράφουν ένα ταξίδι κατα μήκος μιας κατακερματισμένης Ευρώπης σε
απροσδιόριστο τόπο και χρόνο.
The theatrical group Blitz was formed in
October 2004 in Athens. The basic members of the theatrical collective are
Giorgos Valais, Aggeliki Papoulia and Christos Passalis (with the last two
being the main characters in Giorgos Lanthimos’ film “Dogtooth”), while
different colleagues are added in each theatrical work. For Blitz theatre is a
space where people and ideas interact, to that end, all members are equal when
it comes to conception, writing, direction and dramaturgy process. Having as
their primary aim the determination of the contemporary relationship between
society and art, the members of the Blitz group communicate political comments
and attempt to give a form to quotidian thoughts and feelings.
Having almost one decade of success, Blitz,
has acquired reputation with the play “Galaxy” which was presented at the
famous Schaubühne Theater in Berlin, and “Guns!Guns!Guns!” which was performed
at Théâtre de la Ville in Paris.
After their tour in France Blitz are going
to perform their play “Late Night” for the Dutch audience in the framework of
SPRING Performing Acts Festival in Utrecht in 19 and 20 of May. The play takes
place in a ballroom, where three couples ( Giorgos Valais, Sofia Kokkali,
Aggeliki Papoulia, Christos Passalis, Fidel Talampoukas, Maria Filini) remember
various incidents and talk about love, war, disappointments and revolts. Their
stories describe a trip throughout devastated Europe within a vague time and
space framework.
Performing
Arts Festival (16 t/m 26 mei, Utrecht) de voorstelling Late Night van de
populaire Griekse theatergroep Blitz onder uw aandacht. SPRING is een fusie van
de twee gerenommeerde festivals Springdance en Festival a/d Werf en
programmeert op de grens van theater, dans en performance.
De voorstelling
Late Night gaat over Europa, maar dat wordt niet genoemd. Het gaat over
de toekomst, maar het speelt zich af in het verleden. Het gaat over hoop en
wanhoop. Zes acteurs op het podium, dansend in een vervallen ballroom alsof ze
meedoen in een absurde wedstrijd en op de vlucht zijn voor iets dat hen
achtervolgt. Late Night is een melodramatische performance met de meest
opwindende en emotionele soundtrack van het jaar.
Late
Night is op zondagavond 19
mei en maandagavond 20 mei a.s. te zien in Theater Kikker als onderdeel van de
eerste editie van SPRING Performing Arts Festival.
